Juice Box Heroes’ curated mixture of Classic Rock, Party Rock, dance, and popular hits of the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s, and today have pleased many patrons at the restaurants and bars they’ve played in, and have garnered much positive feedback for the band.

They can play as a four piece with Vocals, Guitar, Bass and Drums, or as a five piece with Vocals, Guitar, Keyboards, Bass and Drums. JBH is led by charismatic singer Brian Fazio, who is not shy about getting the audience involved in the show.

Background harmonies round out the sound and evoke the recorded versions of the songs that they cover.

Brian and keyboardist Jason Oppenberg found themselves in a bittersweet reunion- at the funeral of their bass player from years ago, who died in a tragic car accident. Brian and Jason discussed the idea of “getting the band back together,” so they auditioned a number of musicians and put together a new band. They called their new band “Juice Box Heroes”- after the beloved song “Juke Box Hero” by Foreigner, with a twist that all of the dads in the band could relate to. That was in 2016.

Today, Juice Box Heroes have played many different venues in Northern New Jersey. They played the borough of Riverdale’s Summer Concert Series for a large and enthusiastic crowd in July 2018. They have performed at various charity organization’s fundraisers. They have even booked their first wedding, to be held in October 2018.

The band is a dedicated and organized unit: communicating upcoming shows to our social media and email list, practicing weekly, and maintaining an availability sheet for all members of the band.

JBH is looking for someone to help them book gigs and promote them. Their goal is to have a number of places they can play regularly – once a week – in various areas throughout Northern New Jersey.

Band bios:

Bill Winters (drums): drummer by night and Electrician/Director of Building Services by day. Bill is a veteran of the cover band scene- having played many years in both New Jersey and Florida, most notably Drunk Uncle.

Brian Fazio (vocals) is originally from Montclair NJ. He has a background in musical theater and has been in a number of cover bands.

David Benson (guitar, backup vocals) has been in the NJ cover band scene for 10 years playing with Frisky Business, 13th Floor, as well as Pink Floyd and Phish tribute bands. He plays part-time with Str8up, D&C Acoustic, and Divided Sky.  Dave can play leads note for note, as well as bring an improvisational edge while capturing the spirit of the songs he plays. He has experience singing as lead vocalist and brings great harmonies to the band’s sound as well.

Jason Oppenberg (keyboard, backup vocals) loves playing keyboards and singing backup vocals for JBH. Occasionally, he pulls out his keytar, much to the delight of all. He also shakes his tambourine and plays a mean harmonica for some songs.

Rob Parmelee (bass, backup vocals) works for Broadway titan Roundabout Theatre Company by day. By night, Rob rocks with JBH, and plays bass for local theater company Black Box Studios.
